When we moved into this house, we made a decision that Bug and Pup would share a room.
This was mostly because I needed a place to write. After all, what good is a freelance writer diva if she doesn't have the time to actually work? So, our third bedroom became "Mom's Room." And it is still piled with boxes, junk, and other random things. On occasion, Pup sleeps in there because I'm afraid he will wake his brother. (We are still in the phase in which he sleeps in a laundry basket because a) he doesn't move around at night and b) we haven't purchased a crib.)
So much for a place to write, eh?
Then... behold! In my Facebook appeared a link to a certain contest from HomeGoods and Blissfully Domestic. I could win a $250 gift card to HomeGoods to decorate my space. How freakin' cool would that be?! It might even inspire me to clean the hordes of junk out of my mom cave so it could actually be used. (What a concept!)
This also got me thinking as to what it is I want in there. A comfy chair. A desk. Some wicked cool artwork. (Yes, I just said wicked cool. No, I'm not a 19 year-old sorority girl.) A plush, comfy rug. And a wine rack. Ooh, and a place to put my Keurig maker for those late night writing sessions.
Win or not, I'm thinking this mom cave project is moving to the top of my to-do list.
